Caroline was recommended to me for clearing, replanning and planting the front and back of my small cottage garden. She understood my ideas and requirements and produced a planting plan to my requirements which we amended only once She sourced all the plants and planted them out as planned. She was a pleasure to work with, and the project was completed on time and on budget. I am very pleased with the outcome and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

If there were higher grades to be awarded, you would definitely have been in the higher brackets. You were an exemplary student.

Caroline was recommended to me by a colleague of hers who couldn’t take on my project. I wanted advice on the choice of plants to make the two different parts of my garden come together as one space. Caroline has achieved that and more for us. She has created a beautiful garden for me and my family to enjoy. Her brief also included a planting plan and help with the actual planting. Caroline made sure I had all my wishes fulfilled by keeping me involved and updated throughout the process. She kept to the brief and completed the project within the budget and the time frame. It has been an absolute pleasure to know Caroline. I would highly recommend her.

We decided our garden needed a new look after we had three over large conifers taken down. Overall, the garden was looking very tired and needed some inspiration. We asked Caroline to review the layout and to plan a new planting scheme. She discussed the design with us in great detail. She was keen to make sure that she knew what was important to us including our desire to make the garden as environmentally friendly as possible. Caroline came up with a design which suited us very well and we decided to go ahead. She helped us to find a landscape company to do the work and produced a full schedule of work for them. She liaised with us and the landscapers throughout the work. When this was completed she sourced all of the required plants and planted these over several visits to ensure that this was done at the best times for the various plants. It is now about 6 months later and we are very pleased with the way the garden is developing. Caroline was professional throughout, was easy to contact and her fees were very reasonable. We have no hesitation in recommending her.

We had a nice garden, but felt it lacked ‘flair”, so we decided to get some design and planting input from a designer. Having asked around, Caroline Lenton was recommended to us. We met with Caroline and discussed our ideas. We wanted the garden to have a prairie feel to it with plant beds separated by pathways. Caroline presented some ideas which we discussed and amended to meet our ideas, together with suggested planting schemes. The various plans were costed, and we settled on our preferred design. Caroline bought the plants we needed, at a considerable discount to garden centre prices, and arranged for their delivery. She then came with a colleague to carry out the planting. Caroline came back several times to see us to discuss how things were going, talk about pruning programmes and make sure we were happy. We found Caroline very helpful, full of creative ideas and very willing to adjust her ideas as we talked. We think she is very competitive price-wise and have no hesitation in recommending her.

Caroline designed a very pretty & practical garden for my terraced town house. I particularly enjoyed how she created different little areas in a reasonably small space, raised beds for vegetables, a woodland area, a seating area etc. Her choice of beautiful plants all worked so well together. Caroline was a delight to work with throughout the whole process and helped me with all the planting as well! I have spent many happy hours in my new garden and it has been admired by many visitors.

A very important part of the KLC Garden Design course is learning to develop creativity. The students are encouraged to use concepts to enrich and broaden the design process. This student in particular always came up with very exciting and innovative concepts during the project development. Taking these skills forward will help her to become a very innovative and successful designer in her future career. The winner is Caroline Lenton

Caroline has done wonders in transforming our garden and we are absolutely thrilled with the design. Her comprehensive questions and attention to detail at our first meetings meant that she completely understood what was important to us. This was essential in providing us with some exciting designs from which to choose. Caroline has been meticulous in her preparation, understanding and interpretation of the brief as well as plant selection. Throughout, Caroline has been generous with her time; her approach has been creative, professional and friendly. The completed planting design is stunning, truly eye catching and is admired by everyone who visits our garden.
