About the designer

Caroline Lenton trained at KLC School of Design (then based at Hampton Court Palace) in 2014 /15, receiving a Diploma in Garden Design (with Distinction). She has been working with other designers and independently since then on a wide variety of projects in London, Surrey and Hampshire, alongside developing her own country property and garden (now open with the NGS). She is a keen and experienced gardener and has recently gained an RHS Level 3 qualification in Practical Horticulture.

A farmer’s daughter with a love of travel and the outdoors, she takes a lot of inspiration from the natural world. Caroline had a previous career as a teacher and worked in London, Singapore, Tokyo and Bangkok. Since returning to the UK, she has extensively renovated three period properties and currently lives with her family in Surrey.
